The peak of this late-winter weather spell is now behind us; the coming days will bring not only a marked improvement in the weather but also rising temperatures once again. With a brisk and cold easterly wind, residual cloud resembling high fog may persist for the time being, particularly in the valleys on Wednesday. In some areas, this may also be accompanied by a final, light snowfall. The best chance of sunshine is on the higher mountains towards the south. As we head into Thursday, the strong and persistently very cool easterly wind will remain, but the air will already be noticeably drier. This means the sun can now generally shine through. This positive weather trend will continue on Friday and will even intensify over the Easter weekend. At the same time, significantly warmer spring air will finally take hold here.
