Low-pressure areas over the Atlantic are directing disturbances towards the European continent. However, high-pressure areas over the Mediterranean and Central Europe are continuing to successfully divert these towards Northern Europe. At most, these may touch the edge of the Alpine region once, as is expected to happen on Thursday. Otherwise, however, we will remain under high pressure until the middle of the month, as well as under the influence of very mild air masses of subtropical origin. This means that the weather will be almost entirely fine, and temperatures will remain above the long-term average.
