Natural ice-skating on Lake Piburg and nearby rinks
Ice-skating with children is always lots of fun. Ice-skating in the natural ice arena of Lake Piburg is a unique and impressive experience – not just for little ice princesses but also for adults. The minimum thickness of the ice is checked regularly to ensure safety. The rink is 1.2 miles long and 2.5 miles wide. Skating on the lake is free.
Additional ice rinks can be found in the villages of Haiming and Ötztal Bahnhof.
The village of Sautens has an ice stock sport facility – a local sport similar to curling.
